Most of the time you get this erorr after installing Microsoft SP3 for Windows XP. If you have Windows XP with Internet Explorer 7 please try the Related Article 89. If after trying that still doesnt work, then try the following:

I resolved the issue by deleting a registry key

(HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Ex t\Settings\{4eb89ff4-7f78-4a0f-8b8d-2bf02e94e4b2)

and then taking the internet browser security settings back to their lowest settings and then working up from there until I found a comfortable security setting that still allowed Remote Work Workplace to work.

I had already tried to modify the settings for Active X controls and they were set with the Microsoft recommendations.
